American Blackbelly Sheep

Our registered purebred American Blackbelly Sheep flock is maintained on our pasture year-round. They are a small-medium sized haired sheep in tan to red colouring with striking black markings. Rams grow a magnificent set of horns, while the ewes remain mostly hornless.

They are well adapted to a broad range of environments and grow a thick winter coat which does not need to be sheared in the spring.

This sheep produces a lean, fine-grained, and mild meat that is exceptionally delicious.
